On Thursday, September 17, 1998, the acting officers of the Wimberley Computer Club met in the Wimberley Village Library at 7:00 PM. Individuals present were Acting President, Charles Coe; Acting Vice President of Operations, Don Coleman; Acting Secretary, Susan Springer; Acting Treasurer, Ariana Vincent and Alma Springer.
The minutes were read and approved.
Ariana Vincent gave the Treasurer's Report.
Income from dues: $450.00 Fees for Incorporation and bank account: $49.95 Balance of: $400.05
Don Coleman made a motion that we pay Ariana Vincent the $40.00 we borrowed to open the bank account. The motion was seconded by Susan Springer, was voted on and passed unanimously.
The issue of room size was discussed again. It was decided to contact Jerry McGhee to see if he would be able to speak on Tuesday, September 29 instead of Thursday, October 1. If Jerry agreed to Tuesday, we would e-mail all members and make new flyers to reflect the change in date; otherwise, the meeting would remain on Thursday.
We decided that we need several other committees. We need a committee to organize the Special Interest Groups, one to work on getting grants for programs and one for publicity. We discussed asking Curt Busk to head the committee on Special Interest Groups. We also decided to ask for 3 volunteers to be on the nominating committee.
The next meeting of the board will be October 15, 1998, in the Wimberley Village Library at 7:00 PM.
The meeting adjourned about 8:50 PM.
