On Thursday, October 15, 1998, the acting officers of the Wimberley Computer Club met in the Wimberley Village Library at 7:00 PM. Individuals present were Acting President, Charles Coe; Acting Vice President of Programs, Allan Eastwood; Acting Secretary, Susan Springer; Acting Treasurer, Ariana Vincent and Curt Busk.
The minutes were read and approved.
Ariana Vincent gave the Treasurer's Report.
Income from dues: $180.00 Repayment of loan from Ariana Vincent $ 60.00 Balance of: $520.05
Ariana Vincent explained the status of the non-profit documents and submitted her resignation as Treasurer. Curt Busk volunteered to hold the office. The board voted unanimously to have Curt Busk hold the office of Treasurer for the remainder of the term.
We criticed the last regular meeting and decided that we need to announce that there are materials on the table for the members. We also said that too many people were talking out-of-order and a PA system would be helpful. Charles Coe will call Mary Anderson about a PA system.
We decided that we would have links on the website to recognize all who help the club in some way. For now we will recognize Current Technology, CD ROM Mania, YEEHA, and Ma & Pa's General Store. We decided to call this area LINKS TO OUR SPONSORS.
The Internet SIG was discussed and two dates were established for the SIG's first meetings. The dates are Thursday, November 12 and Thursday, December 10 from 1:00 until 2:30 PM.
The speaker for November 24, 1998, will be Jerry McGhee.
There will be no general meeting for December.
The next meeting of the board will be November 19, 1998, in the Wimberley Village Library at 7:00 PM.
The meeting adjourned about 8:46 PM.
