On Thursday, November 19, 1998, the acting officers of the Wimberley Computer Club met in the Wimberley Village Library at 6:45 PM. Individuals present were Acting President, Charles Coe; Acting Vice President of Operations, Don Coleman; Acting Vice President of Programs, Allan Eastwood; Acting Secretary, Susan Springer; Acting Treasurer, Curt Busk.
The IRS has not responded to the club's tax exempt status paperwork sent in by Ariana Vincent.
We still need someone to fill the Publicity position.
The board voted unanimously to bring the SIG Chairman on as a member and to combine the offices of Secretary and Treasurer.
It was decided to add a link to the Canyon Lake Computer Club to our webpage.
We discussed how we could share web information with club members that do not have internet access. Charlie Coe will ask Barbara Hunter to notify these members each month with the information.
We will reverse the setup of the meeting room for the meeting on Tuesday, November 24, 1998. An update of the SIGs will be given by Curt Busk.
Allan Eastwood reported a really positive response to the first internet SIG meeting and to his begining computer group. Two other beginning computer groups will be starting up soon. One will be lead by Don Coleman and one by Vivian Coleman.
Availiability of computer magazines was discussed. Anyone having the opportunity to pick some up from a computer store should do so to put out at the monthly meetings.
Allan Eastwood mentioned the potential speakers for January and February.
The minutes were read and approved.
The Treasurer reported two bills to be paid for reproducing SIG handout materials. A motion to pay these two bills was made by Susan Springer and seconded by Don Coleman. The motion passed unanimously to pay one bill for $3.74 and the other for $32.86. This leaves a balance of $588.43.
The next meeting of the board will be December 17, 1998, in the Wimberley Village Library at 7:00 PM.
The meeting adjourned about 7:45 PM.
