On Tuesday, December 15, 1998, the acting officers of the Wimberley Computer Club met in the Wimberley Village Library at 9:58 AM. Individuals present were Acting President, Charles Coe; Acting Vice President of Programs, Allan Eastwood; Acting Secretary, Susan Springer; Acting Treasurer, Curt Busk.
Allan Eastwood announced the speaker for January as David Harrison. The potential programs for February will be some of Ken Robert's high school students. For the program in March we will ask Dr. Marc Gitterle to come back again. For future programs, Allan will check into getting a tour of Time Line, and he will ask Allan Kimball about speaking on Desktop Publishing.
Curt Busk gave a report of SIGs. There are no new volunteers head the Beginners groups. Don Colemen and Vivian Coleman now have three groups each. Curt mentioned that he was considering splitting the Internet group into Beginners and Advanced. He and Allan Eastwood announced that in March, April, or May we will try to kick off some training classes in various programs.
The Treasurer's report was passed out and approved. Curt Busk explained the status of the club's tax situation and he made a motion that we pay the fee of $150 to apply for federal tax exemption status. Allan Eastwood seconded the motion. It was voted on and passed unanimously.
The minutes were read and approved.
The next meeting of the board will be January 21, 1999, in the Wimberley Village Library at 7:00 PM.
The meeting adjourned about 11:40 AM.
