Minutes of the Wimberley Computer Club Officers Meeting

February 18, 1999

On Thursday, February 18, 1999, the officers of the Wimberly Computer Club met in the Wimberly Village Library at 7:00 PM. Individuals present were President, Charles Coe; Vice President of Programs, Allan Eastwood; Secretary/Treasurer, Susan Springer; SIG Coordinator, Curt Busk; and Publicist, Sylvia Banks.

The minutes were approved as found on the web site.

The Treasurer's report was read and approved. Current balance is $899.69.

The papers for federal tax exemption were discussed. A budget needed to accompany these papers was also discussed. The Treasurer will complete the budget based on the discussion.

Curt Busk gave a report of SIGs. There are no new volunteers to head the Beginners groups.

Allan Eastwood reminded the board that the meeting on Tuesday would be at the Junior High School. He announced that the speaker on March 30, 1999, will be Al Leikis on "Everything You Want to Know about Hardware". The speaker on April 27, 1999, will be Jerry McGhee on "Creating and Maintaining a Web Site". The speaker in May will be Dr. Marc Gitterle.

The Internet SIG on March 4, 1999, will be touring the facilities of Time Line. The tour will begin at 1:15 PM and end at 2:45 PM. Refreshments will be served to all attendees.

Allan Eastwood's evaluation of the Hobby Lobby computer classes was discussed. It was decided that if we charged $30 for members and $40 for non-member that the 3M curriculum was better suited for our 4 classes of 2 hours each with a limit of 20 students.

Charlie Coe announced that Don Coleman resigned his position as Vice President of Operations. He will still be an active member in the club.

The next meeting of the board will be March 18, 1999, in the Wimberley Village Library at 7:00 PM.

The meeting adjourned about 8:29 PM.
