The eighth meeting of the Wimberley Computer Club took place on April 27, 1999, in the Wimberley Village Library. Fifty people signed in.
Charles Coe called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
The minutes were approved as found on the internet.
The Treasurer's report was given and approved. The balance is $701.79.
Curt Busk gave a report on the Special Interest Groups. New beginners groups have started. We still need volunteers to led some beginners groups.
Allan Eastwood announced that the Microsoft Word class is going well. The first two classes we had perfect attendance.
Allan explained how to get a copy of Microsoft Office Pro 97 from ebay.com. Susan Springer said she had several copies available for $30. These were acquired through ebay.com.
Allan also announced that the meeting in May will be "Y2K Fact and Fiction" and will be presented by Roy Hughes.
Allan Eastwood introduced our speaker for the evening, Jerry McGhee. His presentation is "How to Build and Maintain a Web Site".
Following the presentation the door prizes were awarded. The winner was Larry Thomas.
Charles Coe announced that we are trying to start a Student organization. He explained that we needed someone to act as a liaison with the school.
The meeting adjourned at 8:24 PM.
