Minutes of the Wimberley Computer Club Officers Meeting

July 21, 1999

On Wednesday, July 21, 1999, the officers of the Wimberley Computer Club met in the Wimberley Village Library at 4:30 PM. Individuals present were Vice President of Programs, Allan Eastwood; Vice President of Operations, Richard Biggs; Secretary/Treasurer, Susan Springer; and SIG Coordinator, Curt Busk.

The Treasurer's report was read and approved. Current balance is $817.77. Dues for the year 1999 through 2000 is due.

There are new beginner SIGs running now. We have had good feedback from the groups. These groups are expected to finish this summer and new beginners groups will start in a couple of weeks.

The Internet SIG will start meeting in September. The sign-up sheet contains 20 - 25 names.

The Microsoft Word SIG will be on hold until after the second session of Microsoft Word Classes is held.

A Genealogy SIG is in development. Cal Neill will lead this group. A sign-up sheet will be available at the general meeting on Tuesday.

Programs for the next three months are tenatively scheduled as:

Susan Springer brought up th question of when audits should be accomplished. It was decided that near the end of each fiscal year the board would decide if an audit was necessary. There will be no audit this year.

A limit of $100.00 was established for any one expenditure except by concurrence of a board majority. All expenditures will be approved by at least two board members.

Discussion of a major door prize for our anniversary meeting in September took place.

Some changes for the website were also discussed.

Allen Eastwood will contact Frank Austin to see what is involved for the club to join the Wimberley Alliance.

Richard Biggs will check into purchasing a PA system before the next meeting.

The next meeting of the board will be August 25, 1999, in the Wimberley Village Library at 3:00 PM.

The meeting adjourned about 5:45PM.
