Minutes of the Wimberley Computer Club

August 31, 1999

The last meeting of the first year of the Wimberley Computer Club took place on August 31, 1999, in the Wimberley Village Library. Fifty people signed in.

Allen Eastwood called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM.

The minutes were approved as found on the internet.

The Treasurer's report was given and approved. The balance is $1142.79. Dues for the 1999 - 2000 year is due.

Curt Busk gave a report on the Special Interest Groups (SIG). New beginner Windows groups are running. There are sign-up sheets available for several different SIGs that will start soon.

Allan Eastwood announced that the Anniversary meeting on September 28, 1999 will be a panel of your favorite presenters to answer questions on personal computing issues. The program is titled "Ask the Experts". Special door prizes will be awarded. To be eligible for the door prizes, you must be present and have a current dues card.

Allan also solicited volunteers to monitor the bulletin board that will be implimented the first of October.

All members were asked to check their email address on the list in the back to be sure we have the correct address for them.

An announcement of the Microsoft Word Class was made. It is set for the 4 Mondays in October. Sally England will handle registration.

Allan Eastwood introduced our moderator for the evening, Curt Busk. His presentation is "Favorite Websites".

Following the presentation the door prize was awarded. The winner was Pat Aaron.

The meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
