On Wednesday, September 22, 1998, the officers of the Wimberley Computer Club met in the Wimberley Village Library at 3:15 PM. Individuals present were President, Charles Coe; Vice President of Programs, Allan Eastwood; Secretary/Treasurer, Susan Springer; SIG Coordinator, Curt Busk; and Publicist, Sylvia Banks.
The minutes were read and approved.
The Treasurer's Report was given and approved. Balance of: $1335.55
Curt Busk reported that the SIGs were underway again. The Windows 95/98 list has about 4 people wanting instructions. The Genealogy SIG will be deferred until November. The Internet SIG is meeting the first and third Thursdays from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM in the Wimberley Village Library.
Allan Eastwood reported that Allan of Microsoft is still tenative for the November program. Madonna Kimball will be the speaker for October with a presentation on Desktop Publishing. There will also be a presentation on what Austin Community College has to offer in the area of Computers.
The Microsoft Word Class will be the four Mondays in November. Sally England will handle the registration.
The issue of the SIG coordinator being a member of the board was brought up and deferred until the October board meeting.
Possible monitors for the bulletin board were discussed. Allan Eastwood will contact members and find some willing to monitor.
We will ask for volunteers at the October meeting to be members of the nominating committee. We will have 3 members on this committee.
Sylvia Banks and Curt Busk volunteered to handle refreshments at the Anniversary meeting.
The next meeting of the board will be October 20, 1999, in the Wimberley Village Library at 3:00 PM.
