Minutes of the Wimberley Computer Club

November 30, 1999

The meeting of the Wimberley Computer Club took place on November 30, 1999, in the Wimberley Village Library. Sixty-three people signed in. . Charlie Coe welcomed the group to the club's meeting at 7:00 PM.

The group dispensed with the reading of the minutes and the treasurer's report.

The election of officers was held. The Nomination Committee came up with a slate of officers as follows: President, Curt Busk; 1st Vice President, Allan Eastwood; 2nd Vice President, Charlie Coe; Secretary, Susan Springer; and Treasurer, Murphy Jordan. There were no other nominations so the group was elected by acclaimation.

The Nomination Committee had also come up with volunteers to fill positions on the Operating Board. They are as follows: Education Committee: Special Interest Group and Beginner Classes, Rod Rose; Formal Education Programs, Mary Van Driggle; Technical Support Committee: Hardware, Richard Biggs; Software, David Gensheimer; Bulletin Board, Judith Copeland; Membership Meetings Committee: Kathy Moriniere; Meeting Setup, Jack Anderson; Facilities and Refreshments, Steve Birgel; Administrative Committee: Publicity, Sylvia Banks; Web Master, Susan Springer.

Allan Eastwood then introduced Allen Childress, our speaker for the evening. His topic being "Personal Computing - The Present and the Future".

Following the presentation the door prize was selected. Jim Shelton was the winner.

The next meeting will be January 25, 2000, in the Wimberley Village Library at 7:00 PM.

The meeting adjourned about 8:50 PM.

Following the meeting a presentation of wireless internet service was given by Jim Shelton.
