On Thursday, January 6, 2000, the officers of the Wimberley Computer Club met in the Wimberley Village Library at 10:00 AM. Individuals present were President, Curt Busk; Vice President of Programs, Allan Eastwood; Vice President of Operations, Charlie Coe; Secretary, Susan Springer; and Treasurer, Murphy Jordan.
The minutes were read and approved.
The Treasurer's Report was given and approved. The balance is: $1,691.89.
A discussion of the operations board took place and Charlie Coe moved that we create and operations board and accept the members as proposed by the nominating committee. Allan Eastwood seconded he motion and it passed unanimously.
A question of the club's address was posed and a proposal to get a post office box was made. Following a short discussion, it was decided that we would get a box and the Secretary would be the keeper of the key.
A discussion of the use of our mailing list took place. It was decided that we would need to evaluate each usage on a case-by-case bases.
Allan presented the results of the survey. He ask that Susan develop a presentation on the computer of the results for the meeting on January 25, 2000.
It was decided that we have our full membership meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month and that the board would be on the Thursday or Wednesday just prior. The board would meet at 10:00 AM on whichever day the majority of the members could meet.
Allan announced that the programs for the next few months were just about set. January's program will be Ken Roberts on "Backing up Your Computer" and May's program will be Allen Childress from Microsoft.
The meeting adjourned about 11:55 AM.
