On Wednesday, January 19, 2000, the members of the Wimberley Computer Club board met in the Chamber of Commerce at 10:00 AM. Individuals present were President, Curt Busk; Vice President of Programs, Allan Eastwood; Vice President of Operations, Charlie Coe; Secretary, Susan Springer; Treasurer, Murphy Jordan; Director of Software, David Gensheimer; Director of Formal Education Programs, Mary Van Diggele; Director of Special Interest Groups, Rod Rose; Director of Setup, Jack Anderson; and Director of Publicity, Sylvia Banks.
The Treasurer's Report was asked for and Murphy reported that an audit had been performed and an annual financial statement had been prepared. The current balance is: $1,691.89.
Jack Anderson moved that we change our dues year to match the calendar year. Mary Van Diggele seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The dues this year for the paid up members will be extended through December 31, 2000.
A change in meeting facilities was reported on. The Library has several advantages over the Junior High School; therefore, we will continue to meet in the Library with several room changes.
Speakers for the next four out of five months have been set. For January, Ken Roberts on "Backing Up Your Computer"; February, Rod Hardy on "Upgrading Your Hardware"; March, a gentleman from Canyon Lake on "Video Cam"; April is still open; and May, Allen Childress from Microsoft.
The SIGs are still going strong. A new SIG, Building Web Pages, will start on February 3, 2000, in the Wimberley Village Library from 10:30 AM - 12:00 NOON.
In order to promote the use of the bulletin board, a special drawing will be held at our meeting in Febrauay. A "Contest" category will be set up for members to post to. Anyone posting to this category will be entered into the drawing.
Curt announced that our club address will be: PO Box 1902.
The next meeting of the board will be February 16, 2000, in the Chamber of Commerce at 10:00 AM.
The meeting adjourned about 11:42 AM.
