The meeting of the Wimberley Computer Club took place on May 23, 2000 in the Wimberley Village Library. Thirty-six people signed in. President, Curt Busk welcomed the group to the club's meeting at 7:13 PM.
The minutes were accepted as they appear on the Internet.
The Treasurer's report was given and accepted. The balance is $1,960.80.
It was announced that Bowen is collecting used printer cartridges. They will be recycled.
Mary Van Diggele announced that WCC is sponsoring a college-level beginners computer course to be offered by Austin Community College. The classes will be taught at Danforth Middle School. The course will be offered in 3-hr sessions on June 26, 28, 29 and July 3, 5, 6, 10 and 12 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Tuition is $162 and lab fees are $20 ($10 for WCC members).
The grab bag SIG will meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 7:30 PM until 9:00 PM in the Wimberley Village Library.
There will be a tour of Time Line on June 24, 2000 from 10:00 AM until NOON.
Allan Eastwood introduced Allen Childress, our speakers for the evening. Allen is the Channel Marketing Representative for Microsoft. His topics are "Living the Web Lifestyle" and "Creating a Website"
Following the presentation the door prize was selected. Vi Eastwood won a Microsoft cap. Donna Richards won Office 2000 Premium.
The next meeting will be June 27, 2000, in the Wimberley Village Library at 7:00 PM.
The meeting adjourned about 8:35 PM.
