On Wednesday, July 19, 2000, the members of the Wimberley Computer Club board met in the Chamber of Commerce at 10:10 AM. Individuals present were President, Curt Busk; Vice President of Programs, Allan Eastwood; Secretary, Susan Springer; Director of Software, David Gensheimer; Director of Special Interest Groups, Rod Rose; Director of Formal Education Programs, Mary Van Diggele; Director of Programs, Kathryn Moriniere; Director of Setup, Jack Anderson; and Director of Publicity, Sylvia Banks.
The Minutes were approved as they appear on the website.
The Treasurer's Report was given showing a balance of $2,161.77.
It was discussed whether dues should continue to be prorated. Since the Treasurer and several other members were not present we decided to postpone the issue until a future meeting.
Speakers for the next few months are: Tuesday's program, Jerry McGhee with "Topics on the Internet". August's program, David Harrison on a topic of general interest; and September's program will be the same type as last year's; October will be Glenn Fryer and November will be Microsoft.
We decided that September's festivities would start at 6:00 PM with some type of light refreshment. The meeting would still start at 7:00 PM. Kathryn Moriniere will check into the refresments.
The SIGs still seem to be going strong. The Grab Bag SIG will meet 2nd Thursday of the month from 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM. The Internet SIG will be starting August 24, 2000, on the 4th Thursdays of the month from 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM. The MAC SIG will not start until the fall.
Twenty-seven people registered for the Austin Community College classes. The classes were well received.
It was decided that the TIP sheets would be developed and given out in the future.
The meeting adjourned about 11:45 AM.
Respectfully Submitted
Susan Springer
