SIG report given by Curt Busk - Library is not ready - SIG meetings cancelled for Sept. - Suzanne at Library promised it would be ready Wednesday October 11, 2000 - Library wants to have staff on hand and SIG will meet Wed. October 11 from 7-9 PM.
Beginners SIG - delayed until library back on it's feet mid Oct or later.
Grab Bag SIG - delayed until library back on it's feet mid Oct or later.
Education - Mary Van Diggele reported only three responses for ACC classes.
Martha Knies invited WCC members to participate in the Wimberley scarecrow contest either as a group or on a personal basis. Scarecrows should be delivered to the Chamber by Oct. 17.
Binders for each member family were distributed - monthly inserts to come.
Presentation of a "Lifetime Membership" plaque was presented to Don and Vivian Coleman for all of their hard work and commitment to the club.
Allan recognized Sally England, Kathie Moriniere and Sylvia Banks for preparing and setting up the food tables for the Second Anniversary Celebration.
Allan announced that two of the scheduled guests, Jerry McGhee and David Harrison were not able to attend the meeting due to business obligations. He presented the guests on the panel - Ken Roberts, Rod Hardy, Bob Curry and Scottie Gound. He thanked Bob and Scottie for filling in on such short notice.
During the panel question and answer session twenty one door prizes were given out.
