On Wednesday, October 18, 2000, the members of the Wimberley Computer Club board met in the Chamber of Commerce at 10:17 AM. Individuals present were President, Curt Busk; Vice President of Operations, Charlie Coe; Vice President of Programs, Allan Eastwood; Secretary, Susan Springer; Treasurer, Murphy Jordan; Director of Formal Education Programs, Mary Van Diggele; Director of Special Interest Groups, Rod Rose; and Director of Publicity, Sylvia Banks.
The Treasurer's report was given and approved.
Speakers for the next few months are: Tuesday's program, Glenn Fryer on Digital Photography; and November's program will be Allen Childress from Microsoft.
JoAnn Ross and Gordon Dysart will meet and greet attendees at the meetings. They will hand out inserts and the binders.
The Internet SIG started on October 11, 2000, and will continue to meet the first and third Tuesdays each month from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM in the library. The MAC group is still being organized.
It was decided that if Ken Roberts can not get the Excel class organized we would ask him to do Microsoft Word.
We also decided to wait until after the first of the year to try to offer more class with ACC.
The ISP that is providing web space for us has gone bankrupt. Allan will talk to Jerry McGhee to see what the status of our site is.
We will ask Moselle Walker to head up the nominating committee again this year.
A motion to make the dues $15.00 regardless of when the family joins the club and issue any family joining after the September meeting the next year's dues card was made by Susan Springer. It was seconded by Charlie Coe, voted on and passed unanimously.
The meeting adjourned about 11:24 AM.
