Minutes of the Wimberley Computer Club Board Meeting

Called to order by Pres. Don Coleman at 1000 am. Present were Alan Eastwood, JoAnne Ross, Sylvia Banks, Susan Springer, Rod Rose, Curt Busk, Charles Coe, and Sally England.

Minutes of March 22nd read and accepted.

Old Business: none

New Business: Discussion was held about the Introduction and Advance classes. "Word" will not be taught. Allan will look into finding someone to teach the Advance, a suggestion was Rondda Cotton could do the class. There was also discussion on where to hold the classes if the Library can't be used. Katherine Ann Porter Charter School was brought up as a possibility and Curt and Rod will follow up.

Program: for April it will be David Harrison, subject, editing videos on your personal computer. There will be a choice of 2 door prizes. In May Bob Currie, office manager of Media Cottage, getting the most from your scanner. Library: Much discussion on the usage or lack of the facility after the latest Library Board Meeting. There was an article in the Wimberley View, which was discussed. We will send Rod Rose as our representative to the Task Force that the Library Board is setting up. Rod will present our feelings on the use of the library as a building for the community and what the vision is for the future. Pres. Don will contact Steve Schubert and inform him of Rod being our rep.

Thoughts were expressed about letters to the W.V. concerning the library usage or lack of Allan will draft a letter and send it on to Sylvia.

There is an article printed in Nov.98 that is similar to our present situation, we will look for it.
