Meeting called to order by Don Coleman at 1000 am at the Chamber of Commerce. Also present were Allan Eastwood, Rod Rose, Curt Busk, Sylvia Banks, JoAnne Ross, Jan Jackson, Charlie Coe, and Sally England.
Minutes of the last board meeting were read and amended to read food for the Meeting on Sept. 25th would be around $150, clarification that the Computer Club would pay the subside for paid members only for the Intermediate class being held at KAP, The motions were made by Curt Busk and seconded by Rod Rose, they passed unanimously.
Treasurers Report: JoAnne reported that the balance as of today is $2760.13
Old Business: report from Moselle Walker given by Don Coleman: We have nominations for Treasurer Mary Nall, Secretary Sally England will remain if we cannot find a nomination. 1st Vice Pres. Gordon Dysart. Curt Busk will remain as 2nd Vice Pres. We have no nominations for Pres. so the search will continue. Several names as possibilities and will be forwarded to Moselle . It was suggested that a strong appeal be made at the general meeting on Tuesday, we need more participation from the membership.
New Business: Allan Eastwood stated we are set for Tues. after his advance meeting at KAP. We will do the set up and cleaning after. A motion by Allan to contribute $50 to KAP for the evening and seconded by Charlie Coe, all approved. Allan stated his disappointment at last months presentation. A suggestion to say a prayer at the beginning of the meeting in light of the recent tragedy was thought to be a nice idea, but the majority felt that the time now is to go on. Equipment needed was Curt's lap top and a mike. All speakers are committed. Allan is handing the food with help from JoAnne, Sylvia and Sally.
Future Meetings: we will stay at the Library for the present.
SIG report: Curt has only 9 signed up for the Intermediate class, we all need to try and recruit 3 more. Discussion was held about payment, in the future, money up front. Full payment will be made to MS Cotton. Digital class postponed till Oct. Rod is working on getting a speaker. Internet has poor attendance, Grab Bag about 8. Don has a list of the beginner's class.
Members list: Sylvia will keep those on e-mail no longer than 1 year if dues not paid.
