Meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by President Al Sternthal. Also present were Curt Busk, Rod Rose, Susan Springer, and Bernice Brown.
Minutes of the October meeting were read and approved as corrected :[about Curt's request "that we offer to donate and install cabling (not cable link) to the new Civic Center".]
Treasurer's report will be given at the Regular Meeting, Tuesday.
Al suggested that instead of a Christmas party (since everyone has a busy schedule at this time) we could have a Holiday party in January. Details to be announced later.
OLD BUSINESS
Mozelle Walker, Nominating Committee chairman, will give a suggested slate of officers at the Regular meeting Tuesday night. Nominations from the floor will be welcomed.
There was discussion about ways to encourage better attendance at meetings.
We were reminded about the Digital Photography class this afternoon at 1 p.m. in the Library.
NEW BUSINESS
Susan announced that renewal of the Computer Club Website will be $60 for 5 years.
Curt reminded that it is time to sign up again for the Visitors Center Meeting room (used for Board Meetings).
As "chief buyer of stuff" for door prizes, Curt has not received all of the rebates which were promised from manufacturers. It was agreed that the Treasurer will re-imburse him for these.
It was reported that Charlie Coe has completed teaching the most recent Beginners' Class.
Susan asked if there is a group (like Katherine Ann Porter school) who could use second-hand computers? Maybe they could be repaired by some knowledgeable members of the Club before being donated?
Meeting was adjourned at 10:45 a.m.
Respectfully Submitted
Bernice Brown
