Meeting was called to order in the Library, at 7 p.m. by President Al Sternthal. There were 21 members present.
Minutes of the last meeting were approved.
Treasurers report of $2817.75 was accepted.
OLD BUSINESS
Al reminded that the dues ($15 per year) are due in December, and encouraged members to invite visitors and prospective new members to the meetings.
NEW BUSINESS
Moselle Walker, Chairman of the Nominating Committee announced the following slate
of nominees:
President - Al Sternthal
1st VP - Curt Busk
2nd VP - Cal Neil
Secretary - Marsha Yearian
Treasurer - Mary Nall
There were no nominees from the floor. Rod Rose moved that this list of nominees
be accepted, and Gordon Dysart seconded. Rod Rose then moved that the slate of
officers be elected by acclamation. Don Coleman seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
Rod Rose announced that the Grab Bag SIG will be Thursday December 5, and Beginners Digital Photography class will be on Thursday December 19.
Since the scheduled Speaker had not yet arrived, the floor was open for discussions about Computer procedures. Rod Rose cautioned members to get Microsoft updates, to safeguard against viruses.
Cal Neil distributed a chart and asked members to check their choices of programs we would like to have presented next year.
Cal also suggested the use of a Computer Dictionary (approx. 700 pages).
The door prize was won by Allan Boyles.
Since the Speaker did not arrive, Al adjourned the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
